About the Instructor
The Web Guru is an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) and Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Premiere Pro and many other Adobe applications. In addition to being an expert trainer, he is also a professional filmmaker and video editor with several film credits to his name. About Premiere Pro
Premiere Pro is Adobe’s flagship video editing software for professionals. Incredibly powerful, yet intuitive. Integrates seamlessly with Photoshop, Aftereffects and other Adobe products. Add audio, transitions, graphics, effects and titles. Then take your film to the next level by sweetening and mixing the sound, color correcting, adding keyframes, and compositing the footage. Premiere Pro can natively edit footage from a variety of sources such professional video cameras and DSLR cameras. Then output for the web, broadcast or social media.
Premiere Pro was launched in 2003 by Adobe Systems and has since become one of the top NLE (Non linear editors) in the world. Its closest competitors are Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid. Premiere was one of the first computer-based editing systems and is now widely used in the broadcast television and film industries. CNN was an early adopter of Adobe Premiere Pro as well as the BBC. Other broadcast networks that use Premiere Pro are NBC/Universal and ESPN. Premiere Pro is widely used to edit feature films such as Gone Girl, Monsters, Dead Pool, and Hail Caesar. After Effects Integration
Premiere Pro is integrated with After Effects through Adobe Dynamic Link. You can right click any clip in a Premiere Pro timeline and send to After Effects. Any changes saved in After Effects are immediately visible in the Premiere Pro timeline. No need to export or transcode. Compositions from After Effects can be imported directly into a Premiere Pro project. Similarly, Premiere Pro projects can be imported directly into After Effects. Any changes made in one program will be immediately visible in the other. Premiere Pro also supports many plugins for After Effects. Photoshop Integration
Native Adobe Photoshop files can be imported directly into Premiere Pro without having to convert. Any changes saved in the Photoshop file will be immediately visible in Premiere Pro. Also, Premiere Pro will recognize all the layers in the Photoshop file and provide options for importing all or some of the layers.
Audition Integration
Adobe Audition is a professional audio editing program. You can send a clip from Premiere Pro to Audition simply by right-clicking on it and choose Send to Adobe Audition, which includes advanced techniques such as cleaning up noise background audio, EQ and Compression.
